Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6
Mainboard Review -
3Dmark05 and 3Dmark06 benchmark
Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006
Both boards are paired up with a set of ASUS EH2600XT graphics card running with Catalyst 7.9. The graphics performance is tested with single card and dual card in crossFire to see if the new chipsets will bring better performance in Crossfire mode since it supports native Dual 16x instead of Dual 4x (4+16). As we can see from the tests, the perforamnce, using a single card isn't much to shout about. The difference is mere 24 points. When it runs in CrossFire mode, the X38-DQ6 is 355 points higher than the P35T-DQ6. That translates to aroudn 2.36% improvement over the P35T-DQ6.
A check on 3Dmark06 shows a similar pattern. With a single card, the difference is just a few points. In CrossFire, the difference is around 3% with GA-X38-DQ6 with a 300 points lead over the P35T-DQ6.
