EP-AT690G Pro Integrated graphics mainboard (AMD 690G) Review Intro 2/5
Gallery Firstly, lets take a look at the mainboard. On tht top left corner, we can see the audio codec, 3 PCI, 2 PCiex1 and 1 PCIe x16 slots. Close to the centre is a 24pin power connector and behind it is the GbE PHY. Towards the right is a 8 pin AUX, 4 phase power and we can see the two video connectors, a DVI and a VGA. At teh centre of the mainboard is the AMD 690G north bridge, it is passively cooled by a heatsink. on the bottom left hand corner, there is the power switch and reset switch, this makes testing simpler. Around there, you will see the I/O controller chipset right next to the floppy connector. The south bridge SB600 is passively cooled and controls the 4 SATAII ports and 1 IDE channel. The SATA II ports support RAID 0,1,0+1. On its right is 4 DDR2 DIMM slots supporting up to 16 GB of memory runing in Dual Channel. The back panel consists of PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, 4 USB ports, 1 VGA, 1 DVI, 1 x GbE LAN port and 8 ch audio ports. Next >>>
