HQV

DVD playback depends on a lot of factors. In the HQV test, we test out the graphics card in various aspects of video Noise reduction, Film Cadence etc. A total score of 130 if the card passes all the various tests. Here is a breakdown of the score.

* Update : In the previous test, the hardware acceleration was not turned on. That resulted in a very low score of 58. We have updated the review to reflect the changes.

The 8800GTX scored 118 while this card gets 110 (previously it scored only 58). 3:2 detection locks in within a second in the grand stand test. Film Cadence gave excellent results getting a perfect 5 for each test.

The tests are done using PowerDVD 7.0 with hardware acceleration turned on.
