PowerPlay 7 is introduced with the launch of the Mobility series. The focus of powerplay 7 is focused on power efficiency with hardware managed throttling mechanism. It consists of engine & memory clk speed throttling, core ovltage switching , clock gating and backbias voltage. It provides the ultimate performance per watt for mobile system. it is rated to be 70% more efficient than X1600 mobility. That would translate to 15 to 32 mins longer battery life.
