Introduction
ASUS
M2A-VM HDMI is the board that a lot of HTPC users will look forward to. Today,
we got hold of more information of the upcoming board from ASUStek.
ASUS M2A-VM is a mATX baord with the
integrated AMD 690G formerly ATi RS690 chipset paired with SB600 south bridge.
The board supports Athlon64/X2/Sempron and it AMD Live! Ready. It supports aDual
channel memory architecture with 4 x 240-pin DIMM, support max. 8GB DDR2
800/667/533 ECC and Non-ECC,un-buffered memory is supported.
For video, the integrated ATI
Radeon X1250-based graphics can share up 128MB of memory and supports Dual VGA
using DVI-D with max. resolution 2560x1600 (@ 60Hz) and RGB with
max. resolution 2048 x 1536 (@85Hz). An external PCIe based daughter board can
be slotted with slots for HDMI interface with HDCP.
The board also supports ALC883 High Definition Audio 6-channel CODEC and GbE,
10 USB ports, 4 SATA II with RAID 0,1,5,10. Other features include SFS (Stepless
Frequency Selection) from 200MHz to 400MHz at 1MHz increment, Adjustable CPU
Voltage at 0.0125V increment and ASUS C.P.R.(CPU Parameter Recall)
