3Dmark05 and 3Dmark06 benchmark of ASRock ALiveDual-eSATA2  ULi M1695 + NF3 250 chipset mainboard

Benchmarks - 3Dmark2005/3DMark2006

Paired with a ASUS EAH2600XT, the three boards are tested for it's graphics benchmarks. To our surprise, the difference is quite apart. We would only assume that ATi card on ATi chipset has some optimizations which are not done on the ULi 1695, thus resulting in a difference of nearly 430 points when compared to the ECS A770M-A board. In fact, the same card running on the DFI 790FX chipset is much faster than running it on the AMD 770 chipset mainboard.

As it supports the AGP interface, we also tested it with an AGP card using an Albatron 7600GS with Forceware 169.21. Do take note that you need to install the GART driver found in the CDROM before installing the Forceware driver. The card on the board scored 3663 marks.

In 3DMark06, ASRock ALiveDual-eSATA2 scored 4232 while the ECS A770M-A scored 4354 and DFI LP UT 790FX-M2R scored 4415 using the same Catalyst 7.11 and graphics card. Again, we suspect Catalyst driver must have optimised it for their own chipset. With the 7600GS AGP card, it scored 2177.
