Introduction
Everyone is
sick of K8 as it is now the cheaper and slower CPU in comparison to intel
Core 2 duo. The wait should be over soon as there is news that manufacturers
re receiving AM2+ Engineering Samples.
The ES CPU will run on yet to be released RD790 chipset and the so called
compatible NV chipset NF520 and NF560. Everyone knows that it won't be able
to unveil the true performance unless you are using HT3. NF520/560 uses
Hypertransport 1.0
From the way these CPUs leaked, it is suggested that the k10 should arrive
in August.
The underside of the CPU resembles that of AM2 CPU.
Based on the prediction, the OPN code, ZD instead of AD or SD used on AM2
CPUs. There is a code "160" and "180", that is most likely the CPU speed of
1.6GHz and 1.8GHz.
There is this string "110J4BGA", 110,J,4,BGA, J would mean the packaging
type. I was AM2, so J should be AM2+. The "4" should mean L2 cache, which
means 512K L2. Agena quadcore L2 is 2MB, thus 512Kx4=2MB. The "110" might be
the voltage 1.10v? They are just predicitions.
0723 is production yr 2007, week 23. This CPU is thus a Agena, supports
HT3.0 and it is a b0 stepping CPU.
This is the OPN charts of the AM2 for your reference.
