Benchmarks

CPU FSB is still a valid and important criteria when judging systems performance. We measured the CPU FSB of the various boards with a QX6700 processor installed no these boards. On our test board, the rated FSB is at 266MHz. Some of the high end boards we see actually exceeds the normal 266.6MHz by 1MHz. Will this give them an edge in performance. What about the rest which runs default at 266.7MHz?  What abt ABIT IP35 Pro which runs at 266.0, will it be at a disadvantage?

FYI, the IP35 pro, the auto setting sets it to a default clk of 270MHz , 4 MHz above 266MHz. In our test, it is set to 266MHz manually.

From the SiSoft Sandra XI benchmark, the ABIT IP35 Pro seems to have a good score. It looks like the memory controller is well suited for DDR2. You can see from the chart DDR3 tends to have a lower bandwidth when paired with P35 chipset.
