LG Chocolate series
has claimed many awards in 2006. This year, LG launched another Chocolate phone,
the KU800. The KU800 would look familiar to you as it resembles the KG800
Chocolate phone which we reviewed last year. In fact, the looks are so similar
that it is difficult to differentiate unless you look at the detailed
specifications.
Just like the KG800, this 17mm slim
phone also comes with a touch keypad, the first to built that into a phone. It
is cool to to dial with the glowing touch pad. The features of the phone is
Upgraded. A 2-megapixel camera with 2x zoom which can take photographs of up to
1600x1200 pixel resolution, a secondary 640x480 pixel VGA camera for video
conferences, an expandable microSD slot and speaker phone function complimenting
its 3G capability. Downloading files through the phone is no longer a hassle as
it now supports WCMDA (3G). On top of that, you can watch LIVE Streaming Video
provided by the telco operator while on the move.
Built with only 60M of memory with no expansion
slots, the phone is still strong in its multimedia department. It comes with a
MP3 supporting MP3, WMA, AAC/AAC+/AAC++. The microSD slot can be
used with the 1GB SD to store more songs. (The package comes with a 512M microSD
card).
The Camera is a CMOS 2 Million Pixel
camera tkaes pretty good shots. It can take 9 Frame Multi Shots
and has 3 filter special effects (Sepia/Black/White). It has Digital Zoom up to
2X as well as set timer function. Flash function and High resolution LCD for
clearer and sharper pictures and videos is built into the phone. For Video, it
can take in mpeg4 and supports h.263.
