Sony Ericsson K800i
UMTS/GSM 900/1800/1900 3.2 mpixel Cyber-shot Camera Phone Review (5) The Sony Ericsson K800i is the first 3.2 mpixel camera phone with Auto Focus. Sony Ericsson has again tapped on the Cyber-shot branding by bringing us an exceptionally good product that shines in its feature set. The lens cover do a good job in preventing dust. The only thing is that sliders can get loose and adds to the thickness of the phone. With the lens cover opened, we tested a few shots from the camera phone and found the image to be good. Macros can be done but it can't be compared to a real camera. The flash light seems to be a bit too bright for objects at arm distance in a dark environment. The audio level of the phone tends to be on the softer side. Compared to a K750i and W800i, the loudness is in between them. Features like RSS reader, flight mode, remote update are really good features that every phone should have. In our case, our firmware version is the "CXC1250214, R1CB001, 060608". As it is a 3G phone, we also tested video calls and streaming, both are smooth with my calls to another friend on another network. Overall, the K800i is very complete in functionalities. As a IT professional, I would definitely prefer if the phone comes pre-installed with software for me to view presentations, excel spreadsheets or word files. That would definitely make it a really complete feature packed phone. Perhaps a TV out feature would be good to have as well. Pros :
