Nokia
N80 WCDMA/ GSM 900/1800/1900 3mpixel Symbian Camera Phone 5/5
Conclusion Based on the Symbian OS, the Nokia N80 has the easy to use icon based interface that Nokia users feel at home with. Although it might not have the 4GB of memory storage like the N91, the N80 is my preferred choice over the N91 as I am not someone who would listen to MP3 all day long. For those who uses it as a MP3 or radio, you would miss out the ease of plugging your existing headsets as N80 uses the traditional port type jacl for your earpiece. In terms of imaging, N80 has 2 cameras which allows one to make video calls. I don't understand why some phones with 3G capabilities only has a single lens. The 3 mpixel CMOS camera take pretty good pictures in day light. Under poor lighting conditions, images definitely is a bit of a disappointment. The N80 is preloaded with games and applications. You can now view office files on the handset. The phone also has external storage aallowing one to use the provided 128M miniSD card for additional storage of multimedia files. In our days of test, the N80 excels the WiFI option of going online. I noticed that the reception signal isn't a bit weaker than the N91. With it I can easily scan for access points to logon to. Files can be transferred from phone to PC using the USB or Bluetooth. transfers will have to go through Bluetooth or USB. IrDA is still there for the those who still uses infra red port on their notebooks for data transfer. Overall, the phone is an all rounder with a good feature set. The reception level of the WiFi should be enhanced and the picture quality taken at night should be enhanced. The phone is a bit bulky at this time when other brands are trying to impress with the slimer models. I will probably grab one if the price is right. Pros :
