Review Benchmarks - 3Dmark05 and 3Dmark06
Benchmarks 3DMark05 In this test, we ran the card in default clk settings at 575/900 and at o/c speed of 610/1050 using systool. As we can see from the score, the 8800GTX has overtaken the ATi X1950XTX by a whopping 3000 marks in this test. This is really an amazing score. As you can see from the chart, 3Dmark05 scores better with the X6800 as it has a higher clock speed in comparison when it is paired up with QX6700 (quad core at 2.66MHz). The card can be overclock to 610/1050. Anything higher results in tearing and blue screen popping out. From the scores, we can see that the 8800GTX is ~28% faster than the ATi X1950 XTX. As the card is based on a reference design, the scores are very similar to the engineering sample we reviewed before. The small difference in results falls within the error margin. 3DMark06 In 3DMark06, the score are very apparent too. The default stock speed sets the record of 10682 while overclocking it gives a 11205 marks.
From the results, we can see that it has surpassed the ATi X1950XTX by almost 62% in this test. That is really an impressive score.
