ECS PX1
Extreme (i965P) Review Benchmarks 10/10
Conclusion ECS has delivered a board that
has outstanding performance and quality. The specifications are comparable to
the boards from major players like ASUS and Gigabyte. It comes with
4 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket supporting up to 8 GB and
supports 6 x Serial ATAII 3.0Gb/s devices with Intel? Matrix Storage support
(AHCI and RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 configuration). Another on board Jmicron JMB363 1 x
UltraDMA 133/100/66 for up to 2 PATA devices, 1 x Internal SATA 3.0 Gb/s port, 1
x External SATA 3.0 Gb/s port. The board also uses
Realtek ALC885 for Intel 8-ch HD Audio, 2 IEEE 1394a ports by VIA chipset and
Dual Gigabit Ethernet Controller on board. Overclocking features wise, this board has adjustments for Vcore, DImm voltage etc. The only regret is that the FSB range is limited to 333MHz. In fact, in our test, we can get it to POST at 6x333MHz. The package consists of many goodies. Other than the cables provided, it also provide bundled software Intervideo winRip2, WinDVD Crator, WINDVD, DPU, I'm touch, Pro Magic Pl;us and Showshifter. Overall, the ECS PX1 Extreme
is one of the most creative boards i have seen so far from ECS.
