ATi X1950 Pro Review Intro 5/5 Pricing
of
Conclusion X1950 Pro is something that everyone is waiting for. With its new native CrossFire technology, it saves you the hassle of getting CrossFire running on the i975X/ 965P or AMD RD480/580 platforms. The flexibility with the CrossFire interconnect is also something that improved on the GPUs flexibility for future upgrades. In fact, ATi has done a good job to remove the CrossFire edition series or Master card as most people known it as. Most of the manufacturers will bundle a CrossFire Interconnect with its package. So, if you want CrossFire, just get another X1950 Pro with the Interconnect. You need a pair to get it working. Performance scales with technology and pricing. That is not entirely true as you can now own a good piece of graphics card that gives you clarity in 2D, HDTV, performs in 3D and contribute some of your GPU cycles to the Folding@Home project. I think with the availability of this card, it will definitely push down the prices of others. At the end of the day, consumers benefit from competition and we look forward to seeing more and more interesting concepts and performance cards from ATi.
