PCmark2005 tests a number of important items in today's computing world. File Compression, Encryption, Decryption, Audio Conversion, Web Page Rendering, WMV Video Compression, DivX Video Compression, Physics Calculation and 3D, Graphics Memory etc.

With PCMark05, we see that the scores are a bit of different due to the different memory controller of the 3 different chipsets.

The ASUS Striker Extreme did very well in this test, with a score of 7987. The interesting fact is that both the high end boards based on 680i and i965p chipset loses to the ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA which only has a SATA I interface. This is something that surprises me.

With the individual CPU test segment, we see the big difference between the two. The Intel QX6700 is 14% ahead of the X6800. The ASUS Striker Extreme scores trail behind the i965P Gigabyte board.
