ASUS P5B
Deluxe WiFi-AP Edition (i965P) Review Benchmarks 2/10
Benchmarks
CPU FSB is still a valid and important criteria when judging systems performance. We measured the CPU FSB and documented it as below for the various boards. Most of them run at 266.7MHz while some are underclocked and some are overclocked. This will have some impact on the overall performance. Do take note that all 965P boards are running at CAS 5, 5-5-15, 2T ASync DDR2-800. The rest are tested at CAS 3, 3-3-8, 1T DDR2-533 as these chipsets don't support the DDR2-800 spec. We chose to run it at DDR2-533 is because the memory is running at 1:1 ratio, that is to say in SYNC with the CPU. Although one might get a slightly higher score in this benchmark if you choose to run in ASync mode say DDR2-667, there isn't much difference in the performance, in fact, it might get a bit slower in some benchmarks. From the memory benchmarks below, we can see that the ASUS P5B Deluxe scored 5386/5393 which we find it comparable to other chipsets. When it is compared to the Gigabyte 965P, it seems a bit weak. It probably needs a bit of tuning. Next >>>
