ASUS EAX1950Pro has delivered a very cost effective graphics card that performs pretty well against the faster GPUs from NV 7900GT and the ATi's X1950XTX. From the benchmarks, it can be seen that the performance levels, though lose to the ASUS EN7900GT, it shows that it has a good potential of replacing the $199 price segment as a price/performance winner.

With ASUS's R&D, they have created a package that differs from its competitors. Exclusive innovative features such as Spendid, Game Replay, Video Security, Game Face Messenger, Game Liveshow, On screen Display are just some of the add-ons that comes with the package that distinguishes it from its competitors.

To add on to the performance, the card can be paired up with another card + two crossfire interconnect. You get almost doubled the 3D performance level straight away without having to meddle with cabling and master/slave configuration.

As the card is pretty new in the market, the existing tools for overclocking does not seem to be compatible with it. Atitools, powerstrip all aborted when we tried to make changes to the CPU and/or MEM clk settings. Looks like it will be some time before new editions of the s/w or new Catalyst drivers that will enable all these features within the Catalyst driver to overdrive it.

Overall, considering the price/performance factor, this card will definitely appeal to most users.
