ASRock AM2V890-VSTA AM2 board (VIA K8T890CF) Review Benchmarks 2/8
Bluetooth 15 June 2006

Benchmarks

In this test, we measured the CLK used by the boards. Both boards are set to run in SPD mode of the modules which is rated CAS 5, 5-5-15, 2T. The ECS KA3 MVP Extreme is based on the ATi RD580 chipset while the ASUS M2N32-SLI is based on NVidia's 590 SLI chipset.  The ASrock AM2V890-VSTA is based on the VIA K8T890 CF stepping.

The three boards defaults to different frequencies which is all within 1MHz. For both ECS and ASUS, the auto overclocking features are turned off. For ASRock the Turbo function is also turned off.

With that in mind, we take a look at the memory benchmark scores using Sandra 2007. As the memory controller is built within the CPU, the differences aren't that great.
