ASRock ALIVESATA2-GLAN
A few weeks ago, we
reviewed the AM2V890-VSTA, a AM2 board based on the VIA K8T890CF chipset pairing
up with South bridge the VIA 8237A. Today, we take a look at another mainboard
based on the same chipset - ALIVESATA2-GLAN.
ALIVESATA2-GLAN is based on
VIA K8T890CF + 8237A southbridge. This board supports socket AM2 for AMD
Athlon™ 64FX / 64X2 / 64 and Sempron Processors and it is AMD LIVE! Ready.
Similar to the AM2V890 board, it supports untied overclocking options allowing
one to set high clk speed with voltage options.
In terms of features, the
board supports GbE, HDA 7.1,2 x Serial ATA 1.5 Gb/s connectors by VIA®
VT8237A, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD) and "Hot Plug" functions. 2 x
SATAII 3.0 Gb/s connectors by JMicron® JMB 363 (PCIE x1 interface),
support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD), NCQ, AHCI and "Hot Plug" functions. There
is also a HDMI_SPDIF header for connecting to a HDMI ready video card for
routing audio to a HDTV set.
