LG KG800
Chocolate GSM 900/1800/1900 1.3 mpixel Slim Camera Phone 5/5
Conclusion Slim phones seem to be the direction to go for phone makers. LG understands that and has delivered one of the best designer phones for the consumers. Not only does it win in its design, it also has very nice features. I particularly like its navigation touch pad. It is very nice to use. The only thing is that you might accidentally press it twice. Perhaps the numeric pad should be made touch pad too in future versions of the phone. The 1.3mpixel CMOS camera takes average pictures. While most manufactuers are going for 2 mpixel, I think 1.3 mpixel camera lens for this phone is a mismatch. It would have been better if a better camera lens with higher resolution be used for the price. The phone comes with 128MB of RAM and do nto have any external storage. I am not sure if there is any intention to have another version that incorporates SD external storage. I will definnitely get one. USB connectivity is good to have and bluetooth is there for easy transfer of files. There is also no radio. Overall, the phone is one of the best phones in terms of design. Although the feature set is a bit average, I think the design can really balance out the odds. With more companies going for slimmer designs, will LG be able to take up the challenge and introduce more phones slimmer than this. We definitely hope so. More competition => more choices and we consumers gain. Pros :
