Interface and Functionality

The LG KG800 interface is icon based similar to most phones we have seen before. The interesting feature of this phone is its touch pad navigation. It takes a while for me to get used to to the touching keys as I was misled in pressing the silver lines located near the pads itself.

The first screen shows the main display panel with a nice pre installed photo. The image quality is EXCELLENT! I have never seen something like this before. It is crisp clear.

This phone supports many of the bluetooth implementations. They include the headset, handsfree kit, file transfer, image printing, dial up, business card, browse other device and serial port transfer.  In the tools menu, we see some of the commonly used features like calculator, unit converter etc.

Under tools , you can set your favorites, there are alarm clk, calculator, unit converter, world time that can be used. Organizer has contacts calendar and Memo. Under Multimedia, there Is camera, video cam, video recorder MP3 player, photo and video album and settings. Under My stuff enables you to select games & Apps, video, photos, Music, Text, images, Sounds and Others. Under settings, you can set date/time, display, power saving, language, connectivity options, call diversion, security, memory status, reset settings.

The photo camera can take photos at a max resolution of 1280x960, white balance, multi shots, zoom, flash can be set as shown in the screen below. Playing back of MP3 can be enhanced by the equaliser modes too.
