Link Frequency, also known as HTT multiplier on other boards can be used to cap the max. frequency used in the HyperTransport BUS. It is especially useful during overclocking the board to high CLK speed. e.g. Multiplier of 10 (multiplier) x 300 (Clk) = 3.0GHz. In order not to saturate the Hypertransport link, we set this to 800 (4x) so that Hypertransport link is running at 4x300=1.2GHz. The ram timings can be set over here. In our test, we set it to CAS 2, 5-2-2,1T cmd. The rest of the parameters is not changed.

The reference board allows one to configure the board to configure the PCIe BUS setting. In our situation, we are running a PCIe x16+ x2+x1+x1. What this means is that the chipset allows board makers to make boards that probably has DUal 8X slots for possible SLi and CrossFire solutions
