Sony Ericsson Z1010 3G/GSM 900/1800 Camera
Phone Review (3)
Multimedia The built in VGA camera isn't really something spectacular considering that other manufacturers are releasing 3G phones with 1.3mpixel cameras built in. Anyway, the pictures taken are decent and you can take up to a resolution of 480x640 (Large), 240x320 (Medium), 120x160 (Small). There is a Night Mode and Effects allows you to take pictures with add on effects e.g. Black & White, Negative, Sephia, Solarise. You can also add frames for creativity. Z1010 does not come with a photo light for night shoot. Connectivity Z1010 has bluetooth, infra red and USB connectivity which I can use to transfer images easily. Transferring of images, ringtones and Java apps are easy as you can choose to use the infra red, bluetooth, USB or via GPRS. The relevant file types are automatically dumped into the correct directories which you could access them via the file manager. The same applies to jar files. We tried to transfer a AAC file, it is recognised as M4A and it is thrown into the Others folder. Ringtones Z1010 has 72 channels polyphonic. This makes MIDI playback exceptionally good. The MP3 ringtones are very loud when set to MAXIMUM level of 8. Vibration alert on the other hand is a bit weaker compared to Siemens S65 or the Nokia 6600. If you do not want MP3, you can use the standard MIDI as ringtone. |
