Like the above, this lumps everything together. Western Digital Raptor 74GB still holds it’s edge over the rest with it’s second generation 10,000RPM disk, 8MB cache, and 5 years warranty. Hitachi Deskstar 7K500 takes second spot for being the 7200 RPM SATA-II disk, 16MB cache, NCQ, 500GB drive. Seagate Barracuda bites the third spot with it’s 7200.7 series, old 7th generation drive that still give user a run for their money.
