Best Desktop Chipset

As you would have already know, NVIDIA has bought over ULi. You might ask what was the reason behind the $52 million USD deal? As to whether it’s due to business sense or tactics in the video war, we can only speculate.

What we do know however is that the Best desktop chipset for 2005 goes to ULi for it’s M1695, followed by NVIDIA NF4 SLI and then NVIDIA NF4 Ultra.

Similar to what an F1 race season is like, the top driver comes from one camp, while the top constructor goes to another. NVIDIA gets the top spot while ULi takes second. SiS wraps it up with a third.
