Conclusion

Jetway is probably a less known brand in the market compared to the bigger players in the market. In the past months, we have seen Jetway coming out with better quality and innovative products. That includes the Dual Socket type AMD64 board, Dual PCIe NF4 NF4 Std board.

Jetway 945GDAGDual is just one of the newer boards that Jetway engineers are pushing for. A non so expensive board that challenges even the 1st tier makers provide. By looking at the specs, Jetway 945GDAGDual has what it takes to become a big boy with all the options you wanted to have all along. It includes6 SATA ports - 4 SATAII(ICH7) and 2 SATA1 (SIS 180). It also has 2 IDE ports (ICH7, SIS180). There is Dual GbE LAN on board. The board aso comes with VIA 6307 1394. It also has 2 PCIe x16 slot which works in x16 + x4 mode for dual display capability.

A look at the benchmarks reveals that Jetway did not cripple the performance of the board just because it added so many much more than we expected. In fact, in 3 tests, 3DMark2003/2005,DOOM3, it is even on par with the 1st tier 955X boards.

Overclocking features seems to be the necessity in today's mainboards. The Jetway 945GDAGDual comes equipped with all the voltage adjustments you need. you can also run the system in ASync memory setting to tap the extra bandwidth of DDR2-667. For more information, you can refer to the BIOS gallery for more information on the limits of each options. In our tests, we ran the board at 1:1 at 250MHz on a 820D. Voltages are at default settings.

Overall, this board appears to do very well in performance. The BIOS might need some bug fixes in detecting the RAM modules SPD timing. Other than that, I couldn't find much fault with this board.
