9NPA+SLI Mainboard Intro 2/5
Gallery The board comes with 3 PCI, 2 PCI-Ex8 (or 1 PCI-E x16) for graphics cards, 1 PCI-Ex1 which allows for future expansion cards. The power on board is based on a 4 phase design. Between the two graphics card slot, you will find the SLI slot. Similar to other boards, this slot in card enables the board to operate in either SLI or NORMAL mode. At the bottom of the board, we see 4 DIMM slots supporting up to 4GB of DC-DDR400. There are 2 IDE ports supporting up to 4 IDE devices and 4 SATA ports are also supported by the NF4 SLI chipset. They can be mixed and match to form a NVRAID array. On the left bottom corner we can find the Debug LED. Next to the DEBUG led are two additional SATA II connectors supported by SiliconImage onboard chipset. The power on and reset switch are easily accessible for DIY users. This is definitely a better way than to find a thin wire to short circuit the front panel Soft Switch. The back panel consists of PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, SPDIF, 4 USB ports, 1 x GbE port and 8 ch audio ports. The COM and LPT are missing as this empty slow is for the duct to cool the mosfets and coils around the power connectors.
