5LWA+ i925XE Mainboard Review 2/7
Benchmarks Before you read on, it is important to understand that the benchmarks done are more of a comparison of the AGP and PCI-E performance with boards that are of a similar class. In our tests, we benchmarked the board with 6600GT with DDR2-533 memory at SPD and compared it with a full fledge EPoX 915P (915P) and ASrock 775Dual (915GL). Take note that in our benchmarks, we included the default speed 3.6GHz and the other is set is running at 14 x 266 (3.72GHz). Front Side Bus is still a valid and important criteria when judging systems performance. We measured the FSB and found that this board runs at 201.8MHz which is slightly higher than most boards which defaults to 200.9. The following readings are obtained using CPU-Z. We used a pair of Corsair CM2X512A-4300C3Pro DDR2 memory running at CAS 3, 8-3-3 at default (18 x 201.8) and at (14 x 267) and measured the results. Take note that when we run the modules at default, it is run at a memory frequency of DDR2-533 with a ratio of 400:533. At 267MHz x 14, it is run in SYNC mode 1:1. It is interesting to observe the difference of Sync vs ASync.
