Benchmarks

In this comparison, we compare the ASrock K8NF4G-SATA2 against the EPoX 8NPA SLI which is based on the NF4 SLi chipset. Both boards uses 3400+ (2.2GHz) with 1GB Corsair TWIN CAS 2, 5-2-2, 1Tcmd.

The Default Clock is still a valid and important criteria when judging systems performance. We measured the default clock and found that the board runs exactly at 200.0MHz.

The following readings are obtained using CPU-Z.

It should be apparent that S754 being Single channel memory will be comparable if the ram timings used are similar. From the chart below, we checked the memory benchmarks. With the board connected through the integrated core, we can see the 128M shared memory has an impact on the memory benchmarks. It dropped to 2797/2796 vs 3023/3023 when used with an external 6600GT card. As the EPoX uses a higher Clk Speed of 200.9, it is apparent that the scores will be higher.
