XGI Volari V8 versus Deltachrome S8 Benchmarking: This is the system used for testing : The cards used for testing are : Powercolor Radeon 9550, Inno3D GeforceFX
5700, Club3D Deltachrome S8 and Volari V8.All the cards had 128 MB of DDR memory. 3D Mark 2001 SE : 3dmark2001 SE is a very popular benchmark which is used to evaluate DirectX 8.1 hardware. The results below use the same unitless "Marks" as 3DMark03, and were obtained running at a resolution of 1024x768, 32 Bit, D3D, with anti-aliasing turned off. 9911 3D marks is the score attained by the Volari V8 running at default clock
speeds. Needless to say that with just a little overclocking, this card will
easily go over 10.000 3D marks.
3DMark03 is a popular benchmark from FutureMark featuring "full DirectX9.0a support with completely new tests and graphics, 3DMark03 Pro continues the legacy of being the industry standard benchmark.” This test is especially challenging as it exerts a heavy pixel shader and vertex shader load on the graphics adapter. The following results are based on the graphics cards being set to a resolution of 1024x768, 32 Bit, 4x anisotropic filtering.
The Volari V8 has the lead again with a score of 2582 3d marks. This time, the Deltachrome S8 who has results very close to the Volari V8 and scores 2479 3d marks. The GeforceFX 5700 LE and Radeon 9550 have results which are surpringly close in this bench. |
