Sony Ericsson S700i Triband GSM 900/1800/1900 1.3 mpixel
Camera Phone Review (6)
Conclusion The SonyEricsson S700i is one of the first camera phones that incorporate a 1.3mpixel CCD lens for photo taking. It has changed the mobile phone industry as we see more phones coming out with integrated high quality lens. The built-in camera allows you to take pretty good quality images compared to those from K700i. In fact, when I showed the images captured to a number of friends, they were very impressed and were surprised that it came from S700i. Although the image quality is better than the K700i, the video capturing remains the same as the K700i which records in 3GP format. The camera also comes with 8x digital zoom. The photometry, flash and white balance functions helps to take better photos. Similar to the K500/K700 series, the S700 adopts the Quickshare enabling you to transfer files, be it ringtones, java, mp3, images to and from the phone without the need of an additional software installed on PC. You can share all sort of media, contacts etc with friends just by beaming it using IrDA. If you intend to use it to listen to MP3 files, the phone offers you the expansion slot for Memory stick. You just need to slot it into the memory duo adaptor and you can transfer the MP3 or other files (jar, jpg, gif etc). Alternatively, you can use the Bluetooth as well. If MP3 is not enough, you can tune in to your local radio station using the integrated FM tuner. It would be nice if it can record those broadcast, but this feature isn't there. There is also no support of WMA format which the Motorola A835 supports. The MIDI ringtone is exceptionally loud and is comparable to the Samsung. In fact, the MIDI ringtones are the best among all the phones because it uses wavetable playback. MP3 files can be used as ringtones as well and they are really nice. The only pity is that it does not support WMA format which I use on my PC. The phone has a moderate vibration alert. It also supports voice dialing. Pros :
