SCSM-1000 Heatsink Review (3)
Installation
If it is the first time you are installing this
heatsink, you would have to read the instruction sheet. The instruction was not
very clear and the pictures are not in colour. This makes it more difficult to
comprehend. For our tests, we used the AXP 3200+ and used
the Socket A bracket. To install, you have to put the heatsink onto the Socket A
bracket. Next, adjust the bracket so that the bracket is hooked onto the Socket
462 (6 hooks). Fasten the heatsink by tightening the two screws on the side of
the heatsink. The installation is somewhat quite different
from other heatsinks that I have used before. As the heatsink is quite heavy, I
wonder if the two screws is strong enough if the mainboard is placed vertically.
