Samsung SGH-E800C / E800 / E808 Dual Band Mobile Camera Phone (5)
Video presentation
Conclusion The Samsung E800c is a fashion phone in a small footprint. With its CMOS camera it allows one to take interesting photos and add nice addons to it before sending it via MMS. As you can see from the photos taken, the VGA (640x480) mode is good compared to earlier models. In contrast to the D410c, this model removed the video recording function but included speakerphone function. In our tests, we noticed that the EasyGPRS software, there is no way you can upload a JAVA game unless you download it off a WAP site. This phone comes with around 20MB of storage space but it does not support an external memory storage. Compared to the D410C, this phone only has a 65K colour screen. The screen is generally smaller as well. During normal usage, the screen will not be lit. If you need to see the time, you would have to press the side buttons and the clock will be displayed and keypad is locked automatically when it is in slide down mode. You can still use the phone without the keypad by unlocking it (slide down mode) by pressing down the combination UNLOCK and any other key on the front panel The phone only supports the MMF 64 channel polyphonic ringtone. There is no support for MP3 files as ringtone. Although it is not supported, the ringtones are exceptionally loud and chances that you would miss answering a call is almost NIL. In terms of built, the E800C is quite well built. Its sleek design will definitely appeal to those who needs a small phone. Ladies would definitely love this phone. The drawback is the lack of external storage, bluetooth support and the cumbersome Java download using GPRS. To transfer images or ringtones, you would need to use the EasyGPRS with a InfraRed adaptor. Pros :
