Benchmarks - HD Tach of SATA controller on board

As the SATA is supported natively in the chipset, we use HD-Tach to check out the throughput it could reached using a NCQ capable Seagate Barracuda 160G ST3160827AS. To our surprise, it scored a high burst speed of 132.9MB/s. That surpassed the 102MB/s on our previous tests using Sil3124 host controller in our HD article. We also noticed that the native sata controller has a higher CPU utilization compared to the Sil3124 host controller card.
