8GPNXP DUO

Today Gigabyte introduces its flagship product, GA-8GPNXP Duo runs the new series of Prescott processors based on the Socket T specification. It also comes with PCI-E slot for higher bandwidth. As its name implies, Duo indicates Dual Memory support. What that means is that this board supports both the conventional DDR 400 (DC-DDR400), it also support the upcoming new standard DDR-2 533 (DC) as well.

Based on the i915P Express chipset, this new board comes featured packed with its newly introduced 8 SIGMA series. The (Sigma) series represents 8 top innovation technology -Processor, Memory, D.P.S., Peripherals, Ethernet, Cooling, Audio, Shieldware, designed to satisfy all needs for computing. Along with enhanced performance is additional system stability with Gigabyte’s own U-Plus Dual Power System (U-Plus DPS), a revolutionary eight-phase power circuit designed to withstand varying current levels and changes.

The package comes in two boxes. The first comes with the usual stuff like manuals, CDROM, cables for SATA, USB etc. The second box comes with 2 items - PCI based Gigabit Ethernet card and DPS
