EPoX
4PDA5+ Intel 865PE/ICH4
P4 Mainboard Review (4)
Benchmarking We check out the results for ZD Benchmarks using MCCWS2003 and BWS2002. This is a set of applications that tests the performance of the system in desktop applications and multimedia software including video encoding, compression etc. MCCWS 2003 tests the system with a bunch of CPU intensive multimedia applications. As we can see from the chart below, the ECS PT880-A based board ECS PT880-A scores the top score of 37.8. Surprisingly, the EPoX 4PDA5+ with Intel IAA installed scored 33.2 which is still the same as the DFI board. In BWS 2002 tests the system with commonly used Business Applications. Again, we see that ECS PT880-A excels against the Intel and ATi chipsets. Would it be the cause of the 201MHz FSB that resulted in a higher score. The EPoX 4PDA5+ scored 28.8 which is slightly lower than the DFI board. Next >>> |
