Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at. The two boards defaults to different FSB. This can result in skewed results. The FSB of the boards tested are indicated in the chart below :

As the DFI 865PE is a dual channel board, there is no doubt that it yields a better result in this bandwidth test. VIA is late into the market and we would have expected it to excel. To our surprise, the memory performance levels do not reach the 5000 points level. It scored 4816/4821 and it is running CAS 2, 6-2-2 with FSB already at 201.
