AMD Launch of Athlon FX and processors

AMD launches it 4 new processors at the New York New York. Invited are media from all over the world. AMD also introduces the enchance virus protection (EVP) capability for desktoip and mobile computing when enabled by the upcoming MS WINXP SP2. The 4 new processors are AMD Athlon 64 FX-53, AMD atlhon 64 3800+, 3700+ and 3500+

The AMD FX-53, 3800+, 3500+ are socket 939 processors while the other 3700+ is a socket 754. Pricing in 1000 units, Athlon 64 FX is priced at $799, 3800+ 3700+ and 3500+ are priced at $720, $710 and $500 respectively
