Benchmarking We checked out Q3 running Demo001 at 1024x768x32 Hi-Quality. In this category, the SIS 748; a single channel DDR solution lost to the nForce2 platform. This is to be expected. The difference between the two boards is very minimal. It is only 0.2 fps which is hardly noticeable. In fact, what would happen if the FSB was 200.5, it would have got similar or high results. In all tests, Tyan Radeon 9700Pro is used and is running in 8X mode with Catalyst 3.2 (7.84) drivers for all boards tested. The score is 379.8fps which is one of the fastest K8 boards around. In fact a difference of 0.5~1fps doesn't make much difference. From the chart, other than the SiS Ref and 755-A2, the other few boards are running slightly higher FSB which resulted in a higher score in Quake 3.
In 3DMark2001SE Build 330, the results of 17477 is higher than the SiS 755 Ref board. When compared to most of the VIA and NF3 based boards, the SiS 755 boards seems to fare better in this category. In 3DMark2003, the score of 4862 is the same as the score of the SiS 755 ref board. I personally feel that there is still room for tuning to make it even faster.
