Introduction *Notice : No part of this review is to be reproduced in any form, reposted, edited, translated into any languages without the prior permission of OCWorkbench.com* The K7S8X series has been a success in the past. This year, ASrock releases another K7 board based on the SiS chipset. This new board K7S41 is based on SiS 741 chipset which is an upgrade of the previous integrated chipset SIS 740. SiS 741 official supports DDR400 and 400FSB CPU e.g. AXP 3200+. With its Real256 onboard video, this chipset targets the low cost market. If you remember the SiS 315, that is what you would expect from the 2D and low 3D performance from this integrated graphics chipset. Although this is a mATX board, it is a surprise that there are voltage adjustments for Vcore and Vdimm via BIOS and multiplier control using jumpers. There are also settings in the BIOS to overclock the 3D engine clk up to 200. FSB adjustments is up to 248MHz. The board comes with 6 channel audio supported using CMedia 9739 chipset. The rear panel has connectors for 1 x PS/2 keyboard & PS/2 mouse connectors 4 x USB ports, 1 x RJ45 LAN connector, 1 x Parallel port (LPT1), 1 x Serial port (COM1), 1 x Audio ports (Line-in, Line-out, Mic-in) and 3 USB ports. Lets check out the gallery for more photos and BIOS features of this board. Specifications
