The Quake3 demo001 shows us a different story. The 746FX lost to the Dual Channel 8RDA+ by 3%. Although not a lot but it shows that Dual Channel DDR333 is definitely very strong in such memory intensive applications.

3Dmark2001 SE Build 330

The same applies to the 3Dmark2001SE too with a high score of 11373. A difference of 3.5% is recorded comparing the SiS 746FX running in Async DDR400 and the EPoX 8RDA+ running in Sync DDR333.

Comanche 4 Demo

In Comanche 4, we see the similar pattern. Epox 8RDA+ scoring 52.26 compared to 50.38 of the SiS 746FX reference board. A 3.7% difference is recorded.
