Gigabyte 8KNXP Ultra i875 Canterwood Review (3)
Benchmarking Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at.
In our test, we run the 3.0 Ghz (P4 800MHZ) processor at 200Mhz FSB and with 2x256M Corsair DDR333 module at DDR400, CAS 2, 5-2-2 on the Canterwood boards. For stability, we set the voltage to 2.7v for the DDR. On the ABIT BH7 (i845PE), we ran it using a single stick of 512M Corsair XMS3500C2 at CAS 2, 5-2-2. PAT is enabled by default on the Gigabyte 8KNXP Ultra. We can see that both Gigabyte and Aopen scores quite close to each other. It lacks behind ASUS P4C800 which is based on ICH5 south bridge. Could this be a BIOS issue or is it related to the south bridge which brings down the performance? |
