EPoX 4PCA3+ i875 Canterwood (5)
Overclocker 6 May 2003

Benchmarking

We checked out Q3 running Demo001 at 1024x768x32 Hi-Quality. Dual Channel DDR400 seems to be more apparent here with a difference of around 10 ~ 20 fps faster than the i845PE. Again we see that the AOPEN and Gigabyte board performs quite the same but the ASUS is 6fps faster. Has it got to do with a better BIOS or because of the ICH5 instead of ICH5R? The Epox 4PCA3+ seems to perform much faster than the rest of the ICH5R based Canterwood boards by 2 fps.

In 3DMark2001SE, again we see some score differences among the boards. In 3Dmark2001SE, the difference between the 4 boards are not so apparent. The difference is within 3%.

In 3Dmark2003, the difference is smaller with only 18 points in difference between the ASUS P4C800 versus the EPoX 4PCA3+. Do take note that ASUS P4C800 comes defaulted at 202.04Mhz FSB which is slightly faster than the rest of the boards.
