ABIT IS7-G Springdale 865PE Review (3)

Benchmarking

Before we benchmark, we document the FSB the board is running at.

Do bear that in mind when comparing results of the boards as a higher FSB usually will impact the benchmarks in one way or another.

In our test, we run the 3.0 Ghz (P4 800MHZ) processor at 200Mhz FSB and with 2x256M Corsair DDR333 module at DDR400, CAS 2, 5-2-2 on the Springdale/Canterwood boards. For stability, we set the voltage to 2.7v for the DDR. On the ABIT BH7 (i845PE), we ran it using a single stick of 512M Corsair XMS3500C2 at CAS 2, 5-2-2. PAT is enabled by default on all Canterwood boards.

From the Sisoft 2003 Memory Benchmarks, it is apparent that the IS7-G with the new BIOS set to run CAS 2, 5-2-2 with Formula1 setting (F1), a score of 5012/5006 on a 865PE ! If you look at the benchmarks, this is even higher than ABIT's own IC7-G board. It is slightly lower than P4P800 as P4P800 is running at a higher FSB.
