Memory Benchmarks

SiSoft Sandra 2002

The infamous SiSoft Sandra 2002 is used to test out the memory benchmarks. All the systems are tweak to it's maximum possible settings of CAS 2, 2-2-5. The RAMBUS boards are not that customisable and we leave it at the maximum possible running at 4x for CPU/Memory frequency ratio. FSB : 133Mhz.

The chart below compares the memory benchmark scores when we run the board at various CPU/Memory Freq Ratio at DDR266, DDR333 and DDR400. For DDR266 and DDR333, RAM is set to CAS 2, 2-2-5. At DDR400, it is set to CAS 2, 3-3-6.

From the results, we can see that the SiS 648 Ref board when operating in DDR400 mode is right behind the RIMM4200. Does this translate to better results ? Let's see in the next few pages.
