Benchmarking
We conduct the usual tests on the setup with
the following configuration :
Test System:
- AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
- IBM 15G 7200RPM ATA100 HD
- AOPEN 40X CDROM
- MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
- Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR
- Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU
Quake3 Arena results
Further investigation was done based on two
popular gaming software Quake3 Arena. We run Q3 for 5 times and take the most
consistent result.
AthlonXP1500+
We benchmark the board using a MSI Geforce3 Ti200
graphics card with the latest detonator 21.83 drivers. Have a close look at the
results and see how fast is the Shuttle AK35GTR v2.x in terms of real OpenGL tests.

Observing the scores, we would have noticed
that the Shuttle AK35gtr v2.x is again the strongest contender in 3D category whether it's in
Direct3D or OpenGL. In Quake3 demo1, we see that the results far surpasses all
KT266A and KT333 boards when operating at DDR333.
If we were to compare only the KT333 boards
running at Async DDR333, we can see that Shuttle AK35GTR 2.2 is at least 12
fps (Fastest) and 7 fps (Hi Quality) faster then the two other KT333 boards.
