Extras/Games/Tools
The Extras folder is the home to some miscellaneous utilities. There is a Notes utility which is similar to Windows' Notepad. A Calculator function for all your basic adding/subtracting/dividing/multiplying needs. A very useful Converter (at least for me) with a whole lot of categories like currency, area, mass, power, temperature etc! However, the currency conversion will need you key in the current exchange for it to work. A voice Recorder to record your voice conversation and any ad-hoc voice memo. The file is saved as an .amr (Adaptive Multi-Rate) file which is the approved sound format for 3G WCDMA and is the standard audio format for MMS. A Composer for those diehard ringtone fans and a simple Clock panel for setting an audible alarm/changing the default clock view in the standby screen. Let the Games begin! The Nokia 7650 is a J2METM phone which means that thousand of free JavaTM midlets can be installed and used without any problems. However, most midlets are written for monochrome mobile phones but there are nice games/utilities written for colored screen out there if you look hard enough. Midlets have 2 separate files necessary for installation. The .jad file is like a instruction maunal for the actual archive, .jar, to install properly. Please note that you must have both files.

Free Java games The phone came bundled with 3 games. They are Snake EX, Mix Pix and Card Deck. Seriously though, these 3 games are enough to keep you occupied for a long time especially with Mix-Pix where you can created your own puzzle.
Default 'Snake' graphic / Create your own "Green Tea" game This is where it gets very interesting. Applications written for Symbian OS/EPOC (with the extension .sis) can also be installed on the Nokia 7650. You will have to make sure that it DOES work with the phone. I bought 2 games recently and they took the wind out of me! They played great. The sound effects are nice and I thought games like these only exist for PDAs!
Tools is a place that you will find yourself visiting very often. This is where you check your memory usage, installed software, phone settings etc. It's just like your Windows' system panel.
