Benchmarking
We conduct the usual tests on the setup with
the following configuration :
Test System:
- AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
- Maxtor 40G ATA133 HD
- AOPEN 40X CDROM
- MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
- Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR
- Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU
We used the BIOS supplied with the mainboard
and tested the board in both DDR266 and
DDR333 Async (CPU=133Mhz, MEM=166Mhz) mode. We took the readings off WCPUID and
noticed that at both modes, the WCPUID reveals 133.34Mhz FSB. The system runs
CAS 2 1T cmd Ultra.

Summary
Based on the AthlonXP1500+
The table is a comparison of the results based
on both 133/133 (DDR266) and 133/166 (DDR333) setting. A score of 48.7
(DDR266) and 49.5 (DDR333) is similar to most of the KT266A boards we have
tested before. If we were to compare with MSI K7T266Pro2-RU, we can see the
increased in performance. The Gigabyte family seems to score slightly better
than the MSI.
Disk benchmarks scores similarly to those of
GA-7VRXP (KT333). The test was done on a Maxtor ATA133 HD 7200RPM. Under the
high end disk winmark, the MSI seems to outperform the rest.
