MSI 745Ultra SiS745 Review (6)

Benchmarking
We conduct the usual tests on the setup with
the following configuration :
Test System:
- AMD AthlonXP 1500+ and Thermoengine heatsink/fan
- IBM 15G 7200RPM ATA100 HD
- AOPEN 40X CDROM
- MSI Geforce3 Ti200 Graphics card
- Nanya DDR333 256MB DDR
- Channelwell 375W AMD Approved PSU
Quake3 Arena results
Further investigation was done based on two
popular gaming software Quake3 Arena. We run Q3 for 5 times and take the most
consistent result.
AthlonXP1500+
We benchmark the board using a MSI Geforce3 Ti200
graphics card with the latest detonator 21.83 drivers. Have a close look at the
results and see how fast is the MSI 745 Ultra in terms of real OpenGL tests.

the chart above, once again, we can see that the 745Ultra performance is
slightly better than ECS K7S6A in Q3. Although not very significant, we can see
that it can be improved further through BIOS optimisations to beat the Ref board
benchmarks.
