Gigabyte 8INXP E7205 Granite Bay Dual Channel DDR Mainboard Review (4)

Benchmarking

We check out the results for ZD Benchmarks using CC Winstone 2002 and Business Winstone 2001 in this section of the benchmark.

These two benchmarks seems average which is contrary to the RIMM4200 and P4G8X results. This  really makes us think hard why is there a difference of 2.5% between ASUS and Gigabyte. Could it be the FSB that skewed the results. That is a possibility.

Another interesting observation here again as we see a score difference of the two Granite Bay boards. A score of 70 makes it only on par with most 845PE boards.

We benchmark a number of times and do fresh installs a number of times to verify the results. We still get the same thing. I suspect it has got something to do with IDE busmastering as CCWS and BWS are I/O bound benchmarks.
